It's Just a School Project

"I tiptoed across the landing and head straight for the bathroom sink. I filled up a cup with freezing cold water and splashed it on my face then looked over at the digital clock.
The red numbers danced as my eyes were adjusting to the light.
6:07 were the numbers that, just a minute ago, looked like dancing fire.
Why did I have to get up at this time when everyone in my high school got up at eight and were ready at ten past eight?
But I had to stay positive, at least it was better than 6:06. Yeah that's as positive as it gets at now almost ten past six in the morning.
I walked over to the mirror and looked myself in the eyes. Every morning I do this to make sure that they haven't changed colour. And no. They were still the same ocean blue you would find in the seas surrounding the Caribbean. Good. Because my eyes are one of the only features I actually like about myself."
