Until they hit high school they could not hang with each other over the rules " emos can't be friends with popular people " but for them it was stupid but followed the rules until it home time after this started happening , the two teens get kicked out of their group for hanging out with the wrong people. What will they do to show people that you can be friends with anyone you want. Two side story into one whole book.

The Pool Party

But, after Sammi gets a football player to put a cockroach in Emma's hair in class, Emma runs out to leave. She then runs into James, who Offers to give her a ride home.
