It's freshman year, and the gang are preparing for the Homecoming dance this Friday. Isabella wants to ask Phineas to the dance, but she knows it'll take more than asking to get him to come along. Meanwhile, Ferb has developed a crush on someone, despite every girl in Danville having a MAJOR crush on him. One day, Phineas and Ferb are enjoying the sunshine, thinking of ways of how to make their first Homecoming impactful. Suddenly, a beam appears out of nowhere, swapping the two boys' personality. This creates an issue, because they have no way of reversing it till AFTER the dance. Keep in mind that the boys swapped personalities(meaning Phineas has Ferb's quiet self, while Ferb has Phineas' outgoing attitude.) While this is happening, Ferb has ideas to help his brother get with Isabella, only if his brother promises to help him get his crush. The boys, however, deviate from their usual zany projects for a regular game of paintball...but with their usual twist, what, you can't expect Phineas and Ferb to NOT be Phineas and Ferb! Soon, however, the boys and their friends find themselves under attack when Dr. Doof accidentally hits the opposing team with a ray that makes them far more militant than they should be. To make things worse, things really spiral out of hand when they begin researching and developing a weapon that can be devastating for the Tri-State Area... at least aesthetically. Meanwhile, Phineas begins to realize his affection to Isabella, but before he can fully embrace it, Isabella is caught by the opposing team and serves as a hostage during the game. Yeah, it sounds like your typical "damsel in distress" but remember, this is Isabella Garcia Shapiro we're talking here...
