Ninety seven years ago our ancestors nearly destroyed the earth. Ninety seven years ago Alexander Lyoid took his last breath and the last breath any human would ever take beyond these walls. The walls that keep us safe from the now, charred, and dead earth. The dome is our home now, without it we cannot survive. It's our sanctuary from pollution, just as the dome provides the earth sanctuary from us. It's where we live now. It's where we might always live so we cannot repeat the mistakes of the past.

Esther, the daughter of a great council member is a perfectly put together picture. Perfect enough that nobody can tell that she's simply playing the part all too well. Just when her flawless little town becomes too much, she begins to crave all the more knowledge of Beyond. But everything suddenly changes when she runs into the mysterious, yet handsome Thames. Who abruptly puts the secrets of her town into a different light. Esther begins to wonder if ignorance is truly bliss, and if her life will ever be the same again?
