everyone has a "happy place" somewhere they go or something they do to feel calm and at peace. for Louis Archman, that mean slitting throats and raising hell up from beneath your feet.

Hazel is a brave and rebellious teenage girl, and Hugo is an odd easily spooked preteen boy. As time passes, Cody and his friends slowly learn the truth about his past through dark means and horrid realizations, along with discovering terrible secrets of the Asylum they were held in. Memories come to light, and there's only one thing the three will find in the end: The truth.

He leans in, his breath ghosting over my skin, every inch of space between us collapsing. "Still pretending you have a choice?" His voice is soft, almost amused. My throat tightens, but I force the words out anyway. "I don't belong to you." A low, knowing chuckle rumbles through him. Fingers tighten around my chin, tilting my face up until I'm caught in his unyielding gaze. Cold. Calculating. "Belong?" he echoes, as if the word itself is laughable. "You exist because I allow it.
