Two girls, Rhiannon and Amelia and their guy friend Jacob are anxious about starting high school for the first time. While trying to find who they are in a new, big place, they discover that some find it harder than others. When they defend and befriend shy girl, Sophie, from a bully, they realise she struggles to open up her world to people. Sometimes it's easier for her to run from it.

He's the boy next door. She's the new girl. He's popular. She's not. He's annoying. She's ignoring him. He sneaks in her window, and she becomes confused with her feelings. Then he disappears. After coming back, he's different and she wonders what happens to him. Suddenly, the table has turned. He's ignoring her. She's trying to catch his attention. He wants to be friends only. She wants to be more than that. If she insists on what she wants, he will not talk to her ever again. It's a move that only she can decide. Either she stops or does her best to get the boy.
