Ellen has no trouble moving to California when her mom and now step-father got married. She has no problem fitting in at school and finding her friend Kacey. She doesn't even have a problem with going to a new high school.
What she does have a problem with is her science teacher. Mr.Harrison. Everyone seems to like him, but to Ellen, there is something about him that seems off. The way he acts and talks to Ellen suggests that Mr.Harrison isn't planning a little baking soda and peroxide experiment. He has bigger motives.
As Ellen tries to convince the people around her of Mr.Harrison, she and Kacey try to unearth the truth about their 10th grade science teacher.
