You can run from a person. Not a past. Told in alternating timelines-Then and Now-this gripping novel unravels the truth behind the boy she thought she loved, the one she's trying not to fall for, and the moment everything changed. In Dover, Delaware, Chastin kept things surface-level-until Monty came along and pulled her into a world she couldn't escape. He isolated her, consumed her, and made her believe love had to hurt. When everything fell apart, she ran. Now, in living in small town Lewes, Chastin is starting over. For the first time, she has real friends, a sliver of peace, and the chance to be someone new. But the past still follows her like a shadow, especially the secrets she's terrified will catch up. Then, Noah, literally crashes into her life. He's all charm, trouble, and persistence- everything she swore she'd never trust again. But the more he refuses to give up on knowing her, the harder it becomes to keep her walls up. And slowly, she realizes around him, the weight of everything doesn't feel as heavy. But she's learned what it costs to trust the wrong person. Because some endings aren't the end at all. They're just the beginning of what comes next.
