Witnessing the murder of their mother, Melody and her brother Evan were scared for life. Melody more than Evan. Mel sat by her mother side as she took her final breath. After the traumatic event, Melody has to learn to live again. Once a happy little girl is now one who can't go a day without looking over her shoulder. she was scared silent, and being mute bring it's own challenges and makes her an easy target for bullying.

  After bouncing around in the foster system, they find themselves in the home of a biker and his old lady. As the days go by they are starting to finally feel at home, but can't seem to accept it. They weren't used to this kind of kindness and they weren't sure it would last. They always got sent back no matter what.
