They have recently accepted a mission to locate and capture the military's most wanted criminal. This criminal is responsible for theft of sensitive research documentation and materials relating to an element named Stranteium, which is rumored to possess the capability of opening portals to alternate universes...
Things become difficult for the siblings when they discover the identity of their target is their father, whom they assumed died after going missing 10 years prior. The situation worsens as they learn their father's true motive behind his actions: to find a universe where their mother lived and he died in her place. The siblings will be forced to make a choice: Will they allow their father to achieve his ultimate goal and live as a happy family once more? Or will they put a stop to his plan and save countless universes from destruction?

The year is 2889. Three hundred and thirteen years after fleeing a dying earth, the Universe Association has never been stronger. Eight colonized planets, an organized government, and one man at the head of it all are not expecting change. Still, change can spread like fire if sparked in the right place. Daisy Edelweiss, crown princess of Neptune, begins her first year at the Universe Association Academy. Life in a reconstructed Earthen city is as alien to her as her planet once was to Earth, and the invitations to join secret rebellion groups aren't helping. Not to mention the other royals in her class, some of whom can't get off their high horses, and some of whom have the nicest brown eyes... Artemisia McCourt, the youngest senator in training at UAA, must also adjust to life away from the blue planet. Her aptitudes for politics and writing land her a reputation among the Universe Association as either a tool or a weapon, depending on who gets to her first. Everyone's holding their breath for the Little Senator... Terra Solum, crown princess of Mars, is trying to decide whether to give up her crown to her diabolical younger brother, or keep the crown and be forever trapped in a life she doesn't want. A temporary arrangement is made, during which she is allowed to teach at UAA and keep her title while she decides which life she wants. The decision would be far easier without the former crown prince of Mercury and his perfect hair in her way... Royalty, rebellion, and romance collide in Something We Miss. The prehistoric animals test his patience, but Dan must endure all the pain and suffering to return home safely. *** Seventeen-year-old Daniel Matton, still grieving after his mother's death five years ago, is given the adventure of a lifetime when he's selected as the Star of 3023's PPMC Project for a journey through a black hole, wormhole, and white hole to prehistoric times. Now, does Dan want to be the Star? Heck no, but he has loved paleontology ever since a bittersweet memory with his mom twelve years earlier. Programmed to resemble Dan's mother's personality, PPMC vows to keep him safe on his journey, but it's difficult when the stubborn teen constantly gets in trouble, not just with himself but also with prehistoric anomalies: volcanic eruptions, eight-foot-long millipedes, terrifying saber-toothed cats, and, above all, disaster. Now nearly trapped in time, Dan and PPMC must work together to escape the geologic time scale before Dan's love for paleontology and the mighty Quetzalcoatlus prevent him from learning how to truly trust PPMC and "let go" of the burden that's weighed him down for five years.
