Melissa Marie Miller, known as Destanee Dawson before meeting Brody Miller, is just a typical young girl. When she meets Brody, she falls in love, even though he is a CIA field agent. She changes her name to Melissa Miller, killing Destanee Dawson when she and Brody get married. She quickly learns, love is dangerous, even for a field agent.

Brody Miller, CIA Agent, good at what he does. Until he meets Destanee (Melissa) and falls in love. He makes himself not believe he loves her, but on the inside he wants to yell it at her, even as she dates other guys. He soon pulls her to the side and confesses his love for her and she admits it back. But he can't help feeling like she is all wrong for this life. He doesn't want to condemn her to this. But he can't let go of her.
