"Why did you do it?" my voice is weak, made faint by tears. He smiles. "What will it take for you to realize," he presses a kiss to my forehead, "That I'll do anything for you." "I'll get you back. I promise." He nods a sad smile on his face. My chest hurts. "I know you will." The men come back into their spot. They grab Zander by the arms and pull him away.
