The Love of a Sailor

Once upon a time there was a princess, the most beautiful in the land... You thought that was going to be the real start, didn't you? The thing is, this isn't a normal fairy tale. There is no 'most beautiful' bullshit, because you and I both know that that's not possible. With our cultures, there are several 'most beautifuls' in each country.
But the girl we're talking about wasn't even that, she was, as you would say, a 'Plain Jane.' Average-- completely and utterly average. Straight brown hair, brown eyes, tanned skin, not too thin but not too chubby. If you took all of society as a whole and found the mean, it would be her. With her ugly qualities-- and beautiful qualities, she didn't stand out much. Except when you found out who she was. This is a fairy tale, after all, even if it isn't mainstream.
As the princess of Anastasia, life wasn't easy. So let's start over again, here we go...
