"She's like a little toddler that's scared of the dark," Happy points out. I look down at Lucy, who was laying in my arms. Her body moved in the rhythm of her heart beat.
"Yeah," I agree. Her scared eyes glance up at me and over flow with tears, once more. She goes back to nuzzling her face into my shoulder. I could feel her little heart pounding against my chest. I gently placed my hand on the back of her head and quietly shush her. Happy was right... she is like a scared little child.
