Her name was Annalise. She was a little girl who lived in a large, London home with her regal mother and two brothers. She was studious, well mannered, and polite. She preferred a good piece of literature to the company of others. Her name was Ana. She was a scared girl in her early teens. She spent her time in Essex, and soon found herself caught up in a textbook toxic relationship. She didn't have a true home, squatting at her best friend's and boyfriend's after she got kicked out. She was abrasive, vulgar, and violent. She went to school once out of five days. She turned to drugs for comfort and release. She blamed herself. Her name was AJ. She was closed off, and her eyes told a different story than her lips. She was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, the only child to her two parents. Her nicotine addiction was unparalleled. She was at college in UCLA. She had decided to major is psychology. So how is it that the first girl became the third?

I would never admit this to anyone for as long as I lived, and I was going to hell for thinking it, but Theo Romano was hot when he was angry. It wasn't until I finished my dramatic speech did I notice he was standing a few inches from me. I could smell his intoxicating cologne, and I had to hold back every bone in my body that told me to jump him. I'd really done it now. I had pissed off the underboss, and I wasn't even officially hired yet. ***** Amelia Monet had built an empire for herself. To be fair, there was never a shortage of jobs for an assassin. Leaving quickly from a job Amelia walked past a bar that caught her eye. If she had known how much her life would change after that night would she still have walked through those doors? She still couldn't answer that question. That night became the first time she met Theo Romano, heir to the Italian Mafia, and unfortunately for Amelia it wouldn't be the last. ***** This book is considered mature. I don't want to upset anyone. This is the warning to potential triggers of murder, suicide, abuse, and adult themes.
