That struck his interest. As his enchanting, grey gaze leisurely made its way to meeting my dull, brave one I felt my heart rate increase and a burn begin in the bottom of my lungs. My tongue suddenly felt thick as our eyes met. A small smirk played at the corners of his lips as he looked over his shoulder at me. "Tsk," he shook his head. "Don't you ever learn, dear Ava?"

In a split moment he was in front of me, supporting my body with one arm as he hovered me less than a foot from the ground. My breath lodged in my throat as his eyes scanned my features, the pad of his thumb running across my bottom lip. I could feel each indent of his print against my skin. Time felt frozen as he raked his slow torture over me. Another small "tut" noise emitted from his throat as he leaned in close to my ear. His deep and melodic voice, throaty with hunger then rang into my sole ear. "Never dance with the devil."
