Do you all remember how in The Winter Soldier they had the machine that was going to kill potential threats to Hydra but Steve stopped it before it could run?  What would have happened if Steve had been just a second too late?  What if it ended up killing someone- anyone- like you and me?

Malia seemed to be the epitome of calm- she always seemed to be at peace.  You could confront her with any problem and she would find a rational way out of the situation before sending you off with a plate of fresh homemade cookies.  There was something warm and kind that radiated off of her- so naturally everyone was surprised when she was brutally murdered.

It wasn't until Hydra fell and she was still locked away, somewhere in the deep pits of some underground facility, that she realized how much the world had changed. Bucky Barnes remembered very little outside his own name, but he remembered a girl. He remembered a girl with a voice of reason, who spoke only the truth to him, who wanted nothing more than to keep him safe from himself.
