Violet Fortune is not your ordinary seventeen-year-old; for one, her parents were murdered when she was five years old. Her uncle Vladimir took her in and has led her to believe that Vampires murdered her parents. With this anger, Vlad trains her to be a slayer; and not just any slayer, but one of the best.

Eleven years have passed since the murder. Due to Violet making a mistake when hunting a vampire, Vlad was forced to pack everything up and move away to Fairfield Connecticut. Violet, on instinct, searched through some unpacked boxes and found two photos of her parents. The two photos showed the same image of her dead parents, except in one it looked as if their bodies were drained of blood, and the other looked like their death was caused by a human. With this new found discovery Violet questions her whole life.

Violet, with the help of friends she made along the way, start to put the pieces together to solve the murder of her parents. As Violet and the friends get closer to the truth, the more dangerous it becomes; revealing secret pasts about the people they know.

Returning to the scene of the murder, meeting new people along the way, Violet struggles to put it all together, and what she discovers makes one question humanity.

V is for Violet (COMPLETE) by Bailey-Elizabeth
44 parts Complete Mature
-COMPLETE original version PLUS first half of new version!- "I don't know what to do," I admitted for the first time to both her and myself. "I don't know how to maintain this without fucking something up. I don't know how to keep spending time with you without setting a bad example or slipping up in front of my Family." Violet sat up and turned to face me. "I can't answer that for you," she said with a sad smile. "But I can go. I can make this easier, stay out of your way for a while." She stood on her knees between my legs, close, but not touching, and watched me with those wide, ocean eyes. I should have told her to go- listened to her suggestion and put some real distance between us. It would have been smarter, safer. But it would feel like cutting off my own hands. "I don't want that," I murmured, and reached for her waist. (excerpt from new version) --- Vengeance. Vendetta. Violence. These three words are all Violet Harcourt knows. For years, her world has been centered around killing Bill Pfeiffer, the hitman who murdered her father and sister. She's learned the criminal underground inside and out while masquerading as a quiet art student, bringing her closer and closer to her target. Now, it's time to blow her cover, and Bill Pfeiffer's brains out. Vitale Fierro lives a carefree life at the top of the Salvaggi Mafia. Business has been good, and Chicago isn't a bad place to call home when you're a professional criminal. But when a girl with purple hair murders the Family's prized hitman, he's given the responsibility of what to do with her. To kill, or not to kill seems to be the ultimate question- one he must answer while managing a promotion, taking down a rival Family, and trying not to fall in love. Book 1 of the Rough Love Novels

The Doe Identity

25 parts Complete Mature

When the spirit of a comatose man shows up in front of her, Alexis Howard is determined to help him find his identity. Little does she know, she's about to get sucked into a world of secrets, lies, and murder. *** Alexis Howard can see the dead. A gift that has done her more harm than good. Having been forced to move into a strange small town because of it, Alexis vows to cut all contact with the world of the dead. It's easy at first, especially since there don't seem to be any ghosts in Casa Nova. That is until a comatose patient of hers shows up as one. No, he's not dead. He's just semi-dead. And he has no idea who he is. Oh, and the police think he's a cold-blooded criminal who's involved in the disappearance of a 17-year-old girl. Believing otherwise, Alexis decides to help the spirit find his identity and becomes embroiled in the search for the missing girl. Her investigation also leads to a meeting with a peculiar cat, who seems to be much older than she looks. Just what exactly is the connection between the three? What kind of a cat gets shot and shows up without so much as a scratch a few days later? More importantly, who is John Doe?
