Alcide is a undistinguished individual from a distinguished line of high class vampires.
      His older brother is overseas and his little brother is nothing but annoying. 
      His mother is suicidal and depressed, his father is struggling to make money in ways that Alcide thinks aren't fully legal anymore. 
      Alcide's family is slowly falling apart and he's the only one aware. But Alcide is falling apart too. 
      
      With scrapped knees and dirty hands he finds that hope for his family is possible through the eyes of a small girl. 
      
      His hope is stripped away and he is never the same.
