Louis is a 18 year old boy from Doncaster, who has a horrible home life, abusive step dad, careless mother, his school "friends" hate him, and he's been in a psychiatric ward for over a month. His girlfriend Ale has cut all contact with him, (little does he know she had no choice) he feels useless. In the process of auditioning for The X-Factor, Louis meets a younger boy named Harold who helps him through his rough times and sort out his girlfriend problems and helps him get his life back on track until something came and crushed their bond completely and Louis' life goes back to where is started. Will he be able to be pulled out of this tunnel?
