Fire in Her Eyes (An Avengers/Loki Fanfiction)

What happens when two fairy-tales collide? Loki Laufeyson and Rayne Waters. Two totally different people from two totally different worlds. How in the world could their destinies be entertwined?

Rayne Waters has been living the fugitive life with her grandfather ever since a devastating event that happened nearly twelve years ago. She has been pursued relentlessly by Nick Fury because she is a walking fairy tale, and a dangerous one at that. And on a cold, fateful night in Stuttgart, Germany, Loki Laufeyson takes notice of this. Rayne willingfully trades her freedom for her grandfather's life. But before they can run off, the Avengers swoop in and save the day.

While "bonding" in the large glass cell, Rayne sees something in Loki no one else does; she sees a frightened boy who doesn't know what he's doing and just wants to come out of his brother's shadow. So, she must try to save him from his own downfall, and at the same time, battle her own personal demons, resist temptation, tell truth from lie, face her fears, and ultimately choose between good and evil, a choice that could change more than just her and Loki's lives.

***I'm currently editing the story, and I'm not going to lie--lots of changes (some major ones) will be made. The reason for me doing all this random editing is because I wanted Rayne to get to know the other Avengers better, and I want to create more tension in Rayne and Loki's relationship.
