Ten years before the Battle of Genosis, the Kaminoans created the first batch of clones. Two years before the Battle of Genosis, those clones were terminated. An entire batch slaughtered and wiped from the records. All of them killed by a mysterious and unideintified party. All, except one.  
  
  ARC trooper SC-02, nicknamed Null, was the only survivor of a violent attack that left the rest of his batch dead. For two years and three weeks he plotted to avenge his brother's. However, when he finally reaches known space again, he quickly finds himself entangled in the fight of a new squadron, Mirage Squadron. Null's vegenace will not be forgotten, though, for unbeknowst to them all, the enemy he seeks is also seeking him.

Irel Kirsi is a newly appointed Jedi Knight when the Clone Wars arrives, bringing chaos into the galaxy she was sworn to protect. At the bidding of the Jedi Council, Irel is assigned to become General of Clone Legion 918. It is there she meets Commander Axe, one of the newer clone troopers, but no less experienced. As the war goes on, Irel finds herself learning how to command an army and take orders herself. Her questions for the Jedi Council deepen even more, especially as she begins to grow closer to her commander. Commander Axe has been in the Clone Wars since the very first battle of Geonosis. When he finds out that his legion is being reassigned to another less experienced Jedi, Axe is worried what may happen to him and his men. He takes it upon himself to help their new general as much as he can. As they continue to work together, Axe finds himself falling for Irel. As the threat of war spills across the galaxy, what will they do to ensure victory and what will their freedom cost? Their mission is to retrieve stolen DNA samples from the Clone facilities on Kamino, with the separatists on the planet led by Admiral Tonkin, seeking to create a virus with the potential to wipe out the entire clone army and provide a swift and insurmountable defeat to the Republic! Anonymity, after all, is what keeps safe from the scourges of his Kaminoan overlords. He's even evaded a name in favor of keeping to the background. His marginal hopes for his short life are quickly rearranged when he's inducted into the squad he'll be serving alongside. Amongst his new brothers, the army's signature fire and tenacity mix seamlessly with cavalier misadventures and even a type pf gentleness CT-8870 hasn't encountered since his childhood. Suddenly, the galaxy seems wider than ever before. Opportunities to learn and grow into something more than a soldier beam around every corner, but so does the ever-present threat of death. Or worse, the threat of loss. Could allowing himself to indulge in these two bonds, to fall into the camaraderie that is brotherhood, possibly be worth the risk of having it all stripped away? With tomorrow ever uncertain, CT-8870 is forced to step into the fog and shadows of the galaxy as well as the war. There is no such thing as stagnation in life, after all.
