After Elektra died, Matt feels like he has nothing left to fight for. He only saves the day now when his friends are in danger.
Frank Castle realizes this and wants to help him, to repay him for believing that he could be a better person when no one else would, but doesn't know how.

The Punisher and The Assassin
Alex McKinley, sometimes known as Olivia Anderson (it's complicated) is an ex-SHIELD officer. Instead of retiring her skills, she put them to use and became an assassin. She runs into Frank Castle on a mission one evening. When she returns to New York, she searches for Frank, who's supposedly dead. She helps him finally finish the mission he started. They find that they're much more similar than they're willing to admit. The realization leads to much more violence, cursing and a complicated friendship (if that's what you want to call it). *I don't own Marvel's Punisher.Concluida

Alice Jacobs is simply a young pretty girl who needs a job. Sure, her close friend Foggy is someone who she talks to probably too much. And too much implies that he actually got her a job because of it. Being a useless intern. He really just said that she just has to bring the coffee and the cookies, nothing more. Maybe a few helpful hands like writing copies or being in the room when Matt Murdock insists on "special" input. But her boyfriend doesn't enjoy her job, and is quite the prick. Leading to some bruises, headaches and drama, which shouldn't be a problem since Alice is quite the independent women who has an innocent alter ego she puts up. But Matt can feel when something in the air shifts, and it isn't just the bruises and attitude.
