"If you have a quality, let it define you. No matter what it is." Caroline Septima was your ordinary over-achiever. She has always been the top of her class at her charter school, and envied by many of those around her. However, all that changed once an unfortunate incident landed her in a rough public school. With her friends, both new and old, and some rekindling relationships, she is desperately trying to make the most out of her terrible situation. Soon enough, messages from a figure known as APEX, an enigmatic stalker who posts threats in the form of song lyrics, begin rolling in. This unfortunate group of friends, who assumed they were merely getting tricked, quickly learn the truth as their mystery assailant becomes increasingly violent. Police investigations only throw the scenario into deeper disarray. Only fate can determine whether or not they can discover APEX's true identity before they claim their lives. This is a mystery/horror story dedicated to recreating the feel of classic slasher movies, with a modern twist, and actually attempting to pull it off properly. This story is heavily inspired by such classics as Scream, Halloween, and Psycho, with a twist of modern horror, such as Saw. Hopefully the story will be enjoyed.
