A decade ago, fear and panic swept the world. Death came in a new, unexplained form. Within a year, one hundred people had become time bombs, manifesting strange symptoms, leaking radiant energy, and killing anyone nearby, raising the death toll much higher. A pandemic was feared, and measures quickly adopted by governments world-wide ensured whoever was afflicted, whoever became one of these Ectos, was removed from society immediately, quarantined in an off-the-books location to die, safely.

Warren Yan, a university student living in London, has always been intrigued by the people netizens lovingly labelled Ectos. His fondness for comic books perhaps led him to romanticise the idea, but he'd always felt there was something more to them, something more than a disease that had only one, lethal resolution. That was, until the night he manifested. Trapped between the wish to protect those he loves, and the desire to live, he stumbles upon a path to survival that unearths dangers of a different sort.
