You were red and you liked me 'cause I was blue
You touched me and suddenly I was a lilac sky
And you decided purple just wasn't for you
- Halsey

Four years ago, something terrible happened to Ana Rivers.
Nobody really knows what that something is. Not her domineering grandmother, not even her beloved little sister. The only thing they know is that it made the sweet, bubbly child turn into something darker, more reclusive.
Now she lives life her own way, refuses to try to fit in, refuses to try at school, refuses to ever write anything creative ever again and most of all refuses to please people.
-------
Jon Parke's life is pleasing people. Making them love him, scratch that, making them ADORE him. He has never refused anything to anyone, be it his favourite pen, a date or playing a game he hates.
And he's pretty happy that way.
-------
Two very different people. One school project: to write a ten thousand word story together. Will the sycophant convince the backbencher to do it?
