"Sweetheart you're not the only one, but maybe we can change that for ourselves." I gasp, just as I was about to respond I felt his hand on my arm spinning me around. His lips were on mine and my world stopped, frozen, there was only us, and no one else.
Locked inside the palace walls her whole life leaves Leena dreaming of adventure. Of freedom. She longs for an escape from this prison she's been forced to live in. After grieving her father's death she finally sees the opportunity to free herself from her chains, or so she thinks. Her brother, James, the king's successor, thinks it's time she go meet her arranged husband, Stephan and start planning for their wedding. Leena thinks that this could be the adventure she's been dreaming of, a new palace to roam, a new land to discover, and most of all, freedom. She soon finds out that freedom is out of her reach when she meets her betrothed. He is as possessive and over protective as they get. Locked inside yet another palace, she fears her future will not be what she expected and things could not seem more bleak. What happens when she meets Ian, the extremely handsome servant with all kinds of secrets? But more than that, I ran. I took his moment of shock, the slight loosing of his arms about me, and tore myself away from him, shoving out the door and into the rain. I suppose I'll never know why he didn't follow me. It was the thing I feared most. I knew that if he came for me a second time, I wouldn't be able to say 'no'. I wouldn't be able to run.
