Everyone knows what happens when a person is bitten by a werewolf. The human is cursed to become a wolf once a month during the full moon, for the rest of their life. This story is like that, but...more watery.

Left forgotten, the beach ball that had been cupped under my right arm a moment ago was now spinning away over the water. In its sudden departure, my arm came down with a resounding splash! onto the surface of the water and then...silence. My grip on Charlie's hand tightened, my body seized with sudden anxiety.

A searing pain ripped through my calf like a thousand knives. Before I could even choke out an "ouch," my hand was ripped from my brother's as my entire body was yanked viciously into the sea, pulled by an enormous force clamped tightly around my leg
