Nobody said life was easy. In fact, it's quite hard. It's hard being a teenager. It's hard being heartbroken, it's hard being frightened, it's hard being alive. Life was never easy for Kaya Francis. With a deceased mother and homosexual father, she got the wrong side of an otherwise perfect coin. When she begins having out of body experiences in her dreams that consist of her death she comes to the realization that something is terribly wrong with her.
These aren't just typical night terrors, they're her fate. In a race against an unpredictable clock, Kaya finds herself trying to avoid the inevitable. It's no help that her boyfriend's over bearing, and bumptious older brother has his eyes set on her. That is, until Caleb remembers the reason that he tried to commit suicide in the first place, revealing a secret that shatters his new found confidence. As things at home begin to deteriorate too, Caleb’s situation goes from bad to worse. The only person who knows the truth, Dr Palmer, leaves him to stand on his own two feet, declaring him cured.
