Lady  Winifred Burghclere:  The Woman Who Could Keep A Secret :   An appraisal  of  the  biographical sketch by   Lady  Winifred Burghclere ( 1864-1933) on her brother Lord George Carnarvon of Highclere Castle,  the co-discoverer in 1922  of the priceless treasures of the boy King Tutankhamum. The sketch was first published in 1923 in Howard Carter and Arthur Mace's first volume of " The Discovery of the Tomb of Tutankhamun". The appraisal  is  conducted by historian and Carnarvon biographer William Cross, FSA Scot.
