He liked the rain. It was just like him. And it was the only thing that looked at Raven and actually saw Raven. Not 'Raven Eli'. Not the perfect golden boy. Not the optimistic leader with dazzling smiles. Just the quiet, aching mess underneath. Raven had a lot of problems. A lot. Issues in the depths of his psyche hidden so deep he wasn't sure he could name remember them all anymore. There was one he wasn't letting go of though. The one that had started to seem more like a coping mechanism with each passing day. He just.. can't stop saving people. Helping. Smiling. Even when it's killing him. At one point he'd wished he could be both rain AND thunder. Loud, angry. Proud. But then the universe answered him by bringing a boy who shows up to school bleeding and bandaged then tells anyone who asks to mind their own damn business. Chaos in human form. He made Raven feel so frustrated and out of sorts. So why did it seem like adding Devon to the mix was just going to make the whole mess tip over and spill? And why was Raven not stopping it? ~This is not a love story. It's a drowning.
