This is a story that follows the main character, a boy named Jared who starts off as a new inkling joining the neighborhood sport in his world known as Splatoon. He just turned 14 recently and is a bit of a newb so he doesn't know at all how to play the game or move really fast but thankfully he meets many new friends and rivals to help guide and motivate him into doing better. Along his battles he discovers inkopolis's enemies, the Octarians and gets involved in saving inkopolis from them. Wether or not he succeeds in defeating them is for you to find out. She tries to find her niche as a battler and makes a few friends along the way, like the kind but fussy Mikado, an introspective sharpshooter named Keiso, and Teruo, a self-proclaimed roller gal with a sparkling personality, but she also finds a few rivals... Oh, and she also gets roped into becoming Agent 3 of the Squidbeak Splatoon, on a mission to rescue the Zapfish from the Octarians, who have returned after the Great Turf War of 100 years ago. So she's living the dream, but she's also living a bizarre double life. One she'll have to keep from her friends. They wouldn't want her doing shady stuff, right?
