"Max." She said staring at the plain white door to her room, tears filling up in her faded green eyes. "Someday, someday soon, I'm going to die. And I just-"

He slammed his book closed and turned towards her. "You can't think like that. You just can't. How do you suppose you're going to get better if you decide to think that way?"

"I-" She said stopping. "I just think it's better if you know the whole truth before I hit the sack, that's all. It might be in another seventy years, it might be tomorrow morning." She whispered to him.

"I can't live without you, we've gone this long without me knowing what's the harm in waiting a little longer?"

"There's a lot you don't know Max and it's better for everyone if you know, no one has to tiptoe around you anymore." She said shifting her eyes from the plain white door to the dark stormy eyes of the person she  loved most in this world. Saving his image in her brain if she didn't wake up once more. Just one more day God, she thought. 

He stared at her with an almost knowing expression, but confusion clear in his eyes, but silently willing her to continue
