"Love us or hate us, it's still an obsession."

Rebecca Wayland. She's the talk of the city when she and her mother move from a small city of Idaho to busy Anaheim, California. With her quirky but fashionable outfits, her ever changing emotions, and an amazing musical ability, she's going to take the world by storm.

Well... Only if she can get over her horrific social skills and past the boys next door, Jared and Michael anyway. Especially when she starts to fall for the arrogant and bossy Jared Jackson.

When she finds out her neighbors are in a band she ends up riding along with them on their rise to fame while trying to manage her own musical career.

How can one teenager juggle the loss of her father, a new town, making music, chasing around the band, and love all at the same time?

This is the story of how Rebecca Wayland came to be known as Black and White, the singer who you either love or hate.

With her, there is never an in between.
