Clara was just a girl from a small village where nothing exciting happened. Then bandits came, burning her village to the ground. She was the only survivor. During her run away from the terror she stumbled upon King Arthur of Camelot, after that he took her under his wing and treated her like he was her father. She was made ward and trusted advisor of the King and Queen, and in the beginning it was all fun and peaceful, then the bandits come back as well as many other dangers like monsters, Morgana, and Mordred. Will Clara be able to survive?

I got the inspiration for this story from a similar oneshot on Fanfiction.net by Aeon The Dimensional Girl if the user wishes for me to take this one down I will, however I will point out that I expanded on the concept and definitely made it my own. Originally gonna be a one shot, but ended up being too long for a one shot. Merlin returns to Camelot after Arthur dies and gets banished by Gwen. He goes to sit by the lake of Avalon to wait for Arthur. Eventually Arthur returns. Merlin is not immortal in this version, however he is still extremely powerful. This is about their life together. Desperate to find him before he finds her. When her search leads her towards Ealdor, she's surprised to find Arthur there, and with a scrawny peasant boy no less.
