When your best friend is a ghost and you can see the dead an other supernatural creatures life can't get any stranger. Can it? Evalynn has been on her own since the disappearance of her parents 7 years ago, and it's been 7 years since she's heard from her older brother Nate who simply packed up and left her one night with no more than a post it note taped to the fridge saying "goodbye". Eva has always known she was different from everybody else, she can see things that they can't. More often than not its bad things. Deamons that haunt her and try to hurt her and those close to her, so she learnt to defend herself against them and harden her heart against others. To protect them, and herself. But things begin to happen around her, things stranger than usual, could it be linked to Jace the new boy in her class who says he knows her long lost brother? Suddenly Evalynn finds herself at the center of a prophecy and with the darkness closing in on her and she will need all the help she can get but can she learn to let go of her fears and trust again, maybe even love? Of course it would be nice if she was still alive by the end of this mess.
