Edward Murphy is a young Englishman discharged from the army following the death of his younger brother on enemy lines. Although suffering as a result, Edward decides to look for a new job in hope it will give his mind something else to think about. Edward ends up becoming a journalist, investigating the effects the newly over war had on civilians. He flies to ally occupied enemy land where he finds a very mysterious bombed out town. It's here Edward realises the true effects of war and proposes the question to himself; is war really worth the lives it claims?
