When Kelly Jones starts a new course in college it's clear from the start that her new teacher, Mr Anderson, is not happy with her. She takes full responsibility for his annoyance at her, considering she was late to her first class and gave him a bad first impression of her. She believes she has something to prove to him and embarks on a journey of kissing up and working hard, trying to change his views of her and impress him. After a while of getting unbelievably close to him it's easy to see that he plain doesn't like her and she realises there's nothing she can do to change that, he was a very stubborn man. But that doesn't stop her from trying a different technique to get his attention.
