After the fall of Asura (Anime version), everyone is dealing with many situations in different ways:  Old memories from his past haunt Death Scythe, Spirit Albarn;  The students of the DWMA experience closer ties with each other; Soul and Maka become closer; Crona becomes accepted and ends up in love- with someone everyone else doesn't expect;  Death the Kid worries about when the time comes and he takes over his father's postition; and the others close follow with similar scenarios. However, when a woman Spirit and Maka Albarn knows all too well returns to Death City, Spirit feels maybe his life might not be as bad after all- until another kishin threatens and more foes return.

While Lord Death, Spirit, and Stein tried to find a way to locate Soul, the team had to control Maka's reckless behavior of the weaponless meister.
