"NO!" screamed the broken girl. Her eyes swollen, and red. Her fingers desperately clutching at faded pink sheets, and a worn photo. Blinking away tears of absolute fear and rejection, she looked up; directly into the eyes of her grandmother. Her elderly eyes were anything but sympathetic as she crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe. White clothed bodies grabbed at the ever-shattering girl cowering in the corner, and tore her only sense of security from her shaking fingers. The photo floated to the floor gracefully as the mess of a girl was pulled from the bed, and out the door. Silence followed her absence, and the photo lay face up like a snowflake in a world of ashes. Ashes of the broken girl being carried into the stark white van. Ashes of Victoria.

Hoping to shake this human off once and for all, I twisted my body around rapidly with a plan to put my words into action. When I was on my way to push this man as deep into the floor as possible my body all of the sudden went rigid. When my body froze solid, so did my brain. It took me several seconds to get out of my trance and when I finally did, all that was running through my mind were two words. Those eyes. All of the feelings that I had been hiding for the last 160 years were now coming crashing down on me. They were literally shooting out from this human's eyes like fire. A fire that burned into my core.
