"Don't blind fold the girl just yet. I want her to see this. Some fear will do her good" the man said, standing behind my mother, the blade glinting at her throat.

"Why are you doing this? Please! I'm begging you! Don't hurt her! I'll do anything you want, give you anything! I promise! Please just let her go!" I kept screaming, my voice echoing off the walls.

It wasn't enough to make them listen.

I watched as she mouthed three simple words.

And then there was blood.
