This was my take on Lottie's perspective in the short story called, "Marigolds." I wrote this version for a school writing assignment. The original story is written by Eugenia Collier.
She owns all characters expect for May, Lucas, and Renee--whom are of my own creation.
-Side Note: I wrote this when I was first beginning writing (middle school), so please, keep this in mind while reading.

Once a happy person turned timid and reclusive, a 27 year old Tyler Benington tried to live a normal life after his marriage crumbled with the death of his husband, by his own hands. Although, he had a solid reason for it which was to save his own life. When he thought he was getting better, the four walls of his heart struck by a green eyed man, Kyle Parker, and his deep ocean eyed daughter, Maya Parker. Kyle Parker, a 29 year old widower who lost his wife from the complications of childbirth five years ago, lives his normal life with his daughter, Maya. An all time landscaper, but also a flower seller in the farmer's market on Sunday. One fateful day, a middle aged woman bought a bouquet of marigolds and also hired him for a landscaping job. Little did he know he would stumbled into an unexpected twist of fate after accepting the job offer. The journey of discovering new things and new feelings wasn't all beautiful, but both of them persevered. When things finally seemed perfect and in places, another storm came, testing both of them once again. Can both of them get past this problem like how they used to?
