"Just because I was raised by them doesn't mean I'm not one of you."

-Ava King

_________

I'm Ava King, the pessimistic failing writer who also happens to be...wait for it...a werewolf! That's right! I, the girl who shamed my brother for his fantasy addiction, am one of the very creatures that plague that genre every chance they get. It's ironic, I know.

But werewolves aren't the howl-at-the-moon-and-eat-a-baby-deer monsters that you hear about in the story books. No, no. They're much different than that. Werewolves are a highly-evolved and civilized race that live in packs who have their own individual hierarchies. But that's not to say they're not scary.

My Mother Runs With Wolves

51 parts Complete

A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers. ***** It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life. [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]
