I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book! They never make plans to meet there and honestly Jamison would rather the mystery boy stop coming, but of course that doesn't happen, so he has to live until the boy decides to not show. This book has heavy mentions of abuse, manipulation, and suicide. If any of these subjects triggers you, please don't continue to read, this is for your own mental health.
