The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. After a month, the impending collision was broadcasted live worldwide. Meanwhile, thirteen-year-old Daniel accidentally injured his pregnant mother, Ynsia, leading to the tragic loss of the baby. Consumed by guilt, he cared for his grieving mother. A year later, Earth began to crumble. The world quaked, cities floated, and the sun's radiation scorched the planet. Amidst the chaos and despair, Daniel discovered friendship and hope. Gale, Daniel's scientist father, alongside the ISS crew and NASA, realized the dire consequences of the moon's absence. They embarked on a mission to revive the moon and save Earth. With a pencil and some leaves of paper, Daniel started writing letters to the lost babe. He named her after the shattered celestial object--Luna, seeking forgiveness and hoping for a chance to reunite his broken family.

Then by some miracle of discovery or a cruel cosmic joke, In the mid-23rd century when all humanity could do was go out into space to search for a new home, a small planet that was black as the void around it was discovered. The humans who landed on the little planet had nearly lost all hope until they stumbled upon unknown ancient ruins beneath the planet's surface where they discovered untold amounts of bizarre advanced technology. Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Alice is a xenoarchaeologist, her passion in life has always been the study of ancient cultures, and now she has the opportunity to study the most ancient one of them all. The very one that modern Human civilization is now built on. Alice and her boyfriend accepted a posting on the famous and ancient ship, the U.S.S.A Umbra.
