High school. Even the sound of those two words made Cassandra De Luca cringe. Ans it's not for the reason you might think. High school for her didn't mean bullying or a friendless existence. No. It meant being invisible. For two straight years Cassie had been ignored by almost the entire student body, even with an incredible voice and the fact that her stepbrother, Darren Criss, was the coolest guy in the school. And even though she on the verge of loser status by the start of junior year, she still had to deal with Darren's incredibly obnoxious friends. But when Cassie finally gets cast in a lead role in the school play, it looks like her luck is finally turning around. Until she sees that Joey Richter, Darren's best friend, is cast as her love interest. Will Cassie be able to balance her ambition and craving for popularity without compromising her morals? Soleil Dubois was the sweetest person you could ever meet. Her name meant 'sun' in French and that was exactly what she was. Sunshine. The worst thing is that Elias and Soleil are assigned together for the program, meaning they have to spend more time together.
