Facade

Humans have always been looked down upon for having no magic. But even the ones warped by magic and deemed as superior have a weakness. It was the law of nature that for each being there was a predator, or a disease, or a vulnerability built into their very core.
And it might be humans that will be the downfall of magic this time...

For Sahara, being attacked by a large animal on her way home was not a good start to a Monday night.
Neither is waking up in a castle, surrounded by people who want to use her so they can find someone else. Someone everyone, humans included, very much wants dead. But Sahara's link to her might be the only thing keeping her alive...
Finding answers is hard, and staying alive is harder when every move she makes may end up with a knife in her back...
