"I didn't do it!" Veronica shrieked as she remembered that day again. Her chest was heaving violently as she tried to forget the nightmare. Slowly and steadily her wide eyes relaxed and adjusted to the room she has been acquainted to for years. Her hands automatically found their way to the lamp's thread and pulled it to illuminate the dark room. She never liked dark rooms. They bring in your fears. She took the glass of water from the nightstand, drank it in one gulp and kept it down with a loud clank on its initial place. She glanced up the clock, it was 2:30. It had been a while since that nightmare came though. But she was going to make sure that it won't become a routine. As she opened the drawer, and took her laptop out, she realized one thing that there are many reasons to stay awake that are worse than Freddy Kruger.

Haunted

It was only a dare. "I dare you to spend two days in the haunted mansion in Foxglove Forest," Veronica sneered at Jedidiah, "...with Callie Weird." Anyone but Calliope Weir. She was bat-shit, and that mansion was haunted. She would try to summon the spirits or something. She made Jedidiah want to legitimately break his own eardrums and scoop his eyes out. He glanced over at Callie, sitting across the circle from him, twirling one of her curls. She had shaved her head the year before and now it was all grown out. It was like an Afro. Jedidiah almost gagged at the sight of it. "Absolutely not," he shook his head, knowing deep down that there was no way he would get out of it. This is literally from a story prompter post that I saw and I hope it's good. I set it to mature because there will be graphic violence just a heads up. This is also my first horror story I'm sorry if it's soft I'm a noob
