Yo's name really does not fit her personality. Yo means "positive" in Japanese, but instead, Yo is a silent girl with a sad and somewhat...heroic past. An immigrant from Kyoto at age 5, losing her whole family but her little brother, Hikaru, the two fled to Tokyo to obtain a better life.
Yo however entered Tokyo with one eye, and with no explanation on how she lost it. She began to live with her grandmother, Sakura and Hikaru, and Sakura was able to afford an artificial eye.
Yo and Hikaru go back to school. Aiko, a smart, beautiful girl is in Yo's class, and tries to get her to talk. Yo ignores. As the year goes on Aiko and her friend, Mizu try to find out Yo's secret.
