Maura Isles is the Chief Medical Examiner for the Chicago Police Department. Patrick "Paddy" Doyle is getting death threats toward him and his family. He hires Jane Rizzoli to be his daughter's body guard. What happens when Jane starts to feel more for Maura? She tells Maura of her past lover and the pain that she feels with her hands.
